With lock down level 4 coming to an end on Sunday the 31st of May, we have reached out to trail centres, parks and networks around South Africa to determine who will be opening up their facilities come Monday the 1st of June.
There is still a fair amount of confusion around lockdown Level 3 and what it means when it comes to exercise, if the 5km exercise radius still applies and if people will be able to travel by vehicle to access exercise locations. Cycling South Africa has been hard at work to establish how the regulations will be managed and implemented and will update us in due course.
That being said, many of the major networks will be back up and running but with strict safety protocols in place. Here is a list of all of the trail networks that will be open from Monday.
Tygerberg MTB Trails
Mont Marie MTB Trails
G-Spot MTB Trails
Eden MTB Trails
Big Red Barn MTB Trails
Rosemary Hill MTB Trails
Keen to hit up one of these locations? Our advice is that you reach out to your trail network of choice and plan your visit ahead of time to ensure that you are aware of and adhere to any rules or regulations they have in place. In the mean time, we have reached out to a few of the locations to enquire about the rules and fee structures they will have in place. This is what they had to say.
The above is a list of locations who have informed WILD AIR that they are open to exercise. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you adhere to the Governments Level 3 lockdown regulations at all times. Should you be found in breach of the governments or locations regulations, WILD AIR will not be held liable in any manner or form. If you would like to go through the level 3 lockdown regulations in detail, you can find them HERE.
