It’s the end of another week and that means there’s likely to be some racing going on over the next couple of days. Here’s what we have to look forward to this weekend

The Weekend Lineup

The short 2020 EWS season will come to its conclusion in Finale Ligure this weekend. Finale is a classic stop for the series and will once again be hosting the final round of the series. Racers have 4 stages and close on 60km of pedalling to deal with, it is set t be another huge day that will be physically testing for the riders.

Sharjah Jonsson and Matt Lombardi will be lining up to rep the RSA flag and with it being the first race that they’re both in the Elite category, we are sure there will be some friendly rivalry to watch!

Adrien Dailly is hot off a win from last weekend and is sure to be charging hard in Finale. Martin Maes could be the only person to ever take 2 wins at this event but injury from his crash last week has left uncertainty as to where or not he will race this weekend. Florian Nicolai, Jesse Melamed, Jack Moir, and Dimitri Tordo won’t be holding anything back at the last race of the season. Ed Masters (5th in Pietra) and young gun Rhys Verner, who won Queen stage at the last race, are also not to be forgotten! Expect big things this weekend.

In the woman’s field, Isabeau Courdurier will not be racing due to injury which leaves the top step of the podium up for grabs! French brigade of Pugin, Charre, Jonnier, Charles, and Duvert will all be pushing hard for the win though Lanthier Nadeau and Korem will certainly put up a fight against the French! Live timing is available on Saturday at enduroworldseries.com

The course preview is out. 8.5km worth of racing with over 1000m of descending. Have a look below.

Check out Jesse Melamed’s POV of last week’s Stage 3 below top see just how long and physical these stages can be!

Other than the EWS, the Trans Madiera Enduro is currently underway. 5 days of enduro style racing through the diverse landscapes of Madiera, Portugal. The event is in its third year of running and is becoming renowned for its incredible riding experience, blind racing, and beautiful location. Have look at their Instagram page to see all thats happening at the event this year!

Aside from those, there doesn’t seem to be much else on the cards this weekend in terms of racing so sit back and enjoy the Enduro content, have good weekend!

Cheers,

J-Dogg!
