Launched in 2018, the Cape Town Adventure Film Festival (CTAFF) has firmly established itself as a cornerstone in South Africa’s cinematic landscape, celebrating the heart-pounding, awe-inspiring realm of adventure. With a distinct focus on sports, conservation, travel, and lifestyle, CTAFF has become the go-to platform for both local and international content creators, showcasing their craft to an ever-expanding audience.

Recognizing the insatiable appetite for top-notch content, the festival has grown to provide a credible and supportive platform for the local film industry, offering them the spotlight they deserve.
Since its inception, CTAFF has not merely entertained but has also embraced a mission to fortify and expand the adventure genre, not only within the Western Cape but across the entirety of South Africa. Over the course of three editions, the festival has soared, attracting a LIVE audience exceeding 2000 people and amassing an online following of over 20,000, including the 2020 Virtual Festival audience and their extensive social media following and email databases.
The heart of CTAFF lies in its ability to curate an immersive experience by showcasing a wide variety of local and international films, hosting both film directors and adventure personalities alike, as well as forging meaningful partnerships with multiple industry role-players.

The 2024 edition promises an even more exhilarating lineup with more than 30 locally and internationally produced films as well as a vibrant guest speaker list, including Academy Award winning director Pippa Ehrlich, Golden Globe Race winner Kirsten Neuschäfer and celebrated surf photographer Alan Van Geysen.
